Position Summary:The Plant Maintenance Technician assists in the
maintenance, setup, and repairs of the plant and associated
equipment. Can maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair Ready
Mix plants and related equipment. Operates company equipment
including but not limited to vehicles, forklifts, man lift, and
scissor lifts.Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and service Ready Mix Concrete Plants and
associated equipment.
- Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and safe operation of plant
equipment, including:
- Air compressors, cylinders, solenoid valves, lubricators,
regulators, and filters
- Conveyor belts, drive systems, rollers, and electric
motors
- Augers and related drive systems
- Water pumps, meters, valves, and plumbing
- Other equipment like pressure regulators, relief valves, safety
systems, fans, blowers, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery during both operating and
non-operating periods.
- Work in confined spaces (training provided).
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and repair
manuals.
- Maintain records of work performed and parts replaced.
- Prepare and stock replacement parts and materials for
maintenance.
- Ensure all tools are in safe, working condition, whether at the
facility or on service trucks.
- Maintain and repair facility buildings as needed. Position
Requirements
- 2-3 Years Maintenance experience.
- Preparation for and welding of mild steel.
- High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Formal technical training is preferred.
- Technical experience with Ready Mix Concrete plant setup and
repair.
- Intermediate computer skills, such as opening and closing
files, data entry, creating and modifying spreadsheets and word
documents, saving files, sending and receiving emails with
attachments, etc.
