Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Manager
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Manager to play a pivotal role in the implementation and optimization of MES technologies at our dynamic manufacturing firm. The successful candidate will lead the continuous enhancement of the MES platform, serving as a critical link between our production operations, technical teams, and senior management. This role is crucial for advancing our technological capabilities, enhancing production efficiency, and driving strategic improvements across our manufacturing landscape.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on the MES platform, enhancing system utilization and strategic improvements.
  • Work closely with plant personnel to understand their needs and address operational challenges through targeted MES solutions.
  • Develop and conduct comprehensive training sessions to maximize staff proficiency and effectiveness in using the MES system.
  • Coordinate the seamless integration of new system features across different levels of the organization to bolster operational efficiency.
  • Align system enhancements with business objectives, prioritizing developments that deliver the most significant impact.
  • Lead the monitoring and communication of system updates to ensure stakeholders are well-informed and prepared for changes.
  • Partner with IT specialists to ensure cohesive integration and functionality testing of new system features.
  • Advise management on leveraging system capabilities to optimize production processes and achieve business goals.
  • Mentor and support manufacturing leaders in embracing technological advancements and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Frequently travel to various company locations to support implementation and training activities.

    Minimum Position Qualifications:

    • Direct experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is essential.
    • Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing various stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and provide practical solutions.
    • Ability to travel to different company sites as needed (15-20% travel).
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in leading MES projects, including system design and rollout.
      • Familiarity with ISA88, OEE, SPC control, and relevant manufacturing frameworks and protocols.
      • Prior experience with specific MES products such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, Aveva, or Rockwell.
      • Project management skills with a proven track record of successfully handling large-scale technology integration projects.
      • Knowledge of database management, data processing, and reporting systems tailored to manufacturing contexts.
      • Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
