Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior
Equipment Engineer to join our team at a leading renewable energy
equipment manufacturer specializing in lithium-ion battery
technology. In this role, you will lead the design, optimization,
and maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment used in the
production of lithium-ion batteries. You will drive equipment
efficiency, reliability, and scalability while ensuring safety and
compliance with industry standards. This is an excellent

Responsibilities
- Equipment Design & Optimization: Develop, evaluate, and improve
equipment designs to optimize production processes, increase
efficiency, and reduce costs, with a focus on lithium-ion battery
manufacturing.
- Manufacturing Process Development: Collaborate with
cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and operations,
to integrate equipment into battery manufacturing processes,
ensuring seamless production and minimal downtime.
- Project Management: Lead equipment projects from conception
through commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor
coordination, and implementation to meet production goals.
- Preventative Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop and oversee
preventative maintenance programs for production equipment,
diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, and implement
continuous improvement initiatives.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment adheres to health,
safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards,
particularly for hazardous materials handling within lithium-ion
battery manufacturing.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage external
suppliers and vendors for equipment components, services, and
support, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze equipment performance data,
monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports to
track and improve operational efficiency.
- Training & Development: Provide technical guidance and training
to junior engineers and maintenance technicians on equipment
operation, troubleshooting, and best practices.Required
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a
plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in equipment engineering
within the renewable energy, battery manufacturing, or related
industries.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in equipment design, process
development, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of
lithium-ion battery production processes.
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing projects
from planning through execution, with excellent organizational and
time management skills.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis software (e.g.,
MATLAB, MS Excel) and experience with performance monitoring
tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and
explain complex technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license, PMP
certification, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with renewable energy
regulations, ISO standards, and industry best practices for
lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
- Software Skills: Experience with CAD software (e.g.,
SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems for equipment management.What
