Position Title: Spring Club Basketball Coach Organization: New England Elite Basketball Position Type: Seasonal/Part-Time Start Date: January 2025 End Date: June 2025 Overview: New England Elite Basketball is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spring Club Basketball Coach for the 2025 season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in coaching youth basketball, demonstrate excellent leadership skills, and have a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court. Key Responsibilities: Coaching and Development: Plan and conduct practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy. Develop individual player skills through personalized coaching techniques. Implement age-appropriate drills that enhance players' technical abilities. Team Management: Select team members through tryouts, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Foster a positive team environment that encourages sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration among players. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding team expectations, schedules, and progress. Game Preparation: Prepare the team for competitions by developing game strategies tailored to opponents. Analyze game footage to identify areas of improvement for both individual players and the team as a whole. Ensure all equipment is ready for practices and games. Player Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of player performance to track progress throughout the season. Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their skills and understanding of the game. Qualifications: Previous coaching experience at the youth or high school level is preferred. Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate young athletes. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends during the season. First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is necessary.
