Job Description:
The RoleModerna is seeking a Director, Global Medical Affairs to
spearhead Medical Affairs activities for our Oncology
Individualized Neoantigen Therapy (INT) program.Reporting into the
Vice President, Global Medical Affairs - Oncology, this role will
be the primary point person for the development of INT Medical
Affairs plans and strategic activities, including launch plans,
data generation, integration, and dissemination.This role will also
define and implement strategy that aligns with business goals by
initiating major global projects to close gaps in medical education
and research, identifying objectives, innovative tactics and clear
measures of success for global activities supporting the launch and
lifecycle management of INT.This is an exciting time to join

benefit patients.Here's What You'll Do
- Provide subject matter area expertise and leadership for
cross-functional internal workstreams including Pharmacovigilance,
Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Brand
teams.
- Develop and foster relationships with external experts, medical
societies and patient advocacy groups to ensure that robust
insights are consolidated into global plans, enabling the
generation of data that are needed by payers, physicians and
patients to understand the value of Moderna's innovative mRNA
platform.
- Develop innovative research concepts and medical education
initiatives to close gaps in research and knowledge and that
supports understanding of the benefit/risk profile and optimal use
of Moderna's INT.
- Contribute to the writing of manuscripts and abstracts for
congress presentations and peer reviewed publications.
- Create a roadmap for establishing effective internal training
on external facing content and data, scientific engagement
strategy, processes and systems and lead the preparations of
materials for Advisory Board meetings & other key external
stakeholder activities.
- Provide guidance and scientifically accurate review of medical
materials and strategies in accordance with established policies
and practice standards, including regulatory guidelines to meet
various customer needs.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with
the broader Moderna organization.
- Represent Moderna externally.Here's What You'll Need (Minimum
Qualifications)
- PhD/PharmD required
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Oncology Medical
Affairs.Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred
Qualifications)
- MD, PhD, PharmD
- Proven ability to act with dynamic range, driving strategy and
execution simultaneously to:
- Develop relevant disease area Medical Affairs strategy and
prioritization of activities across multiple workstreams.
- Deliver high-quality results on time and within expedited
timelines.
- Demonstrated track record in leading cross-functional teams and
skillfully removing barriers to encourage collective action towards
execution of business goals and priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and dynamic
environment, clearly communicating and collaborating with senior
leadership to resolve challenging decisions.
- Keen attention to detail, strong business acumen, excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and internal drive to generate
high-quality work, with passion and urgency to drive impact for
patients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to meet the needs
of varied internal and external stakeholders.
